Winter Wonderland 2026 | The Little Prince

Step into the dream-maker's spotlight this December with our Winter Wonderland 2026 Production of The Little Prince. It's going to be swirly sugarlicious fun! Kids' Gallery's winter production is the perfect way for children 2-12 years to experience the magic of performing on stage!

Production 

To take part in this production,  you must enrol your child in MTJ, MT1, MT2, MT3, MT+ or PC. You will need to enrol your child in one course for the Sep/Oct and Nov/Dec terms. Hence, production fee must be settled before the closing date for application - 30 September 2026. Black canvas/jazz shoes are not covered in the production fee and mandatory for the performance. You can source your own or they can be purchased at our campuses. We recommend that you child rehearse in class/studio with them though it is not mandatory for classes. (Non-slip socks or black canvas/jazz shoes are recommended for class/studio rehearsals.)

Late applications may be rejected, and if accepted, be subject to a surcharge of $500 in addition to the production fee.

VIP Experience (Additional $4,800)

Priority ticket booking

-Four VIP premium seats to watch your child's performance in a designated VIP seating zone

-An option to purchase a maximum of 4 extra premium seat tickets at $480 per ticket (subject to availability)

Photo book

-A specially designed photobook with at least 12 rehearsal/on-stage photos

-A cash voucher towards Kids' Gallery Seasonal Workshops (valid until 31 March 2027, at $1,000 value)

Special Acknowledgement

-Special acknowledgement in the house programme

Additional performer(s) in the VIP Experience: $1,280/child

A specially designed photobook with at least 12 rehearsal/on-stage photos

Class Rehearsals  

Students will prepare for this production within their regular classes in the Sep/Oct and Nov/Dec terms. We ask that you remain committed to your course and avoid transferring during the rehearsal process. This is not a compulsory event, and your child will still have the opportunity to explore the theme fully within class time. ​

Production Week  

Production Week will take place from 8-14 December 2026. You will be given your child’s exact performance/on-stage rehearsal date and time by late October. Siblings will be cast into the same show where requested.  For students enrolled in KIDS' GALLERY The Little Prince, during Production Week (8-14 December 2026) the rehearsal will replace the regular lesson. NO MAKE-UP CLASS is required.

  

Tickets  

We will inform you via email when tickets are on sale. Please save our email  (events@kggeducation.edu.hk)  to avoid announcements falling into junk mail. All audience members will need to purchase tickets to watch the show, including infants. Students who are performing are not required to purchase a ticket. 

Ticket prices:  

  1. Ticket sales is only available from Art-mate website
  2. A maximum of 8 tickets are allowed to be purchased for a single performance in a transaction
  3. Public Sales Date (for non-VIP): TBC
  4. Ticket Pricing: $488(VIP/Premium) / $438 (Stall) / $388 (Circle)

Hair, make-up and costume 

Costumes will be distributed in class before the performance.  

Please wear white/light colour undergarments.

Performers are required to wear black canvas shoes that are available for purchase at $80/pair at Kids’ Gallery or at the theatre. We suggest children start wearing the black canvas shoes in class to practice. 

Girls: Wear hair in a low bun; if hair is too short, style hair away from face. 

Boys: Leave hair natural. 

We will provide/apply make-up for the performance. If you wish for your child not to wear make-up provided by the event make-up team but to still wear make-up for the performance, please prepare this yourself before your performance. If you wish for your child not to wear any make-up at all, please let our client engagement team know as soon as possible.

Health and safety  

We will continue to uphold the highest levels of hygiene and safety. All persons entering the theatre will be required to undergo temperature checks and hand sanitisation. Students  and audience members showing signs of illness will not be allowed to enter. 

Remarks  
  • Students should not bring bags or accessories to the theatre  
  • The performance is approximately one hour and 15 minutes in length 
  • No photography or video taking is allowed during the performance. A professional video of the whole performance will be available.  
  • No parents or caregivers are allowed in the backstage area.  
  • Please note that once confirmed, your child becomes an important part of the KIDS' GALLERY The Little Prince cast and we cannot give refunds of production fees for any reason.  
  • Performance venue and dates are subject to change due to availability

What to expect:
September-December 2026: Weekly in-class/studio rehearsals
September/October: Parents must fill out information regarding measurements (for costumes), and name on certificate. An email will be sent out by the Production Team.
November: Cast Details and Production Week Theatre (not on campus) dress rehearsal Information will be sent out via email by the Production Team. Parents will receive Rehearsal dates and times (including call times), performance date(s) and time(s), ticketing information, etc. for their child(ren).
Late November: Ticketing and Box Office. Parents will be able to purchase tickets with their unique access codes (these are not public performances and would require ticketing access codes for purchase)
Early December: Distribution of Costumes. Costumes will be distributed to performers by the first week of December. Performers are required to try them on at home to ensure they’re the right fit. Should tailoring be required, parents can return the costumes together with a the form for the tailors they have completed to campus. Costumes pack distributed at this time will include:
1) Costume (excluding accessories. Accessories will only be given out during dress rehearsals and to be brought home to keep after your child’s final performance)
2) Call-card: containing information regarding production week arrangements, your child’s rehearsal and show date(s) and time(s)
3) Costume Amendment Form: To be completed and returned together with the costume should there be issues with the fit of the costume.
7-13 December: Production Week. Dress Rehearsal(s) and Performance(s), and distribution of certificates (after the completion of your child’s final performance)
