Students 4+ years are going to be painting something close to our hearts this summer — our beautiful home, Hong Kong! Inspired by five iconic artists — Pablo Picasso, Antoni Gaudi, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Gustav Klimt and James Rizzi — students will be painting their favourite Hong Kong scenes — from famous landmarks, dim sum to their favourite snacks!Celebrating our roots and our home, students will be reimagining all things quintessentially Hong Kong through five very distinct art styles! And there's more! Artworks may be chosen to be featured in our 2027 Visual Arts Exhibition!
HK Transportation X James Rizzi
Iconic Hong Kong modes of public transportation meet American Pop Artist James Rizzi (1950-2011): reinterpret Hong Kong's famous taxis, ferry boats, mini buses, trams, etc. in Rizzi’s merry maximalism, play in colours and delight in details!
HK Famous Landmarks X Antoni Gaudi
Iconic Hong Kong landmarks meet Catalan Modernisme artist Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926): reinterpret the famous buildings lining our cityscape -- Wanchai Exhibition Center, Bank of China, The Peak Tower, etc.-- in Catalan art nouveau "mosaic-style" painting in paint!
HK Street Snacks/Foods X Gustav Klimt
Delicious Hong Kong street snacks meet Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1926): reinterpret and enjoy turning the best of our street foods into highly ornamental decorative patterns and gold leaf. The only challenge may be this: should I paint curry fish balls, egg tarts, egg waffles, pineapple buns or something else?

HK Landscape X Friedensreich Hundertwasser
Stunning Hong Kong landscapes meet Austrian visual artist, environmental protectionist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000): re-envision the Victoria Harbour, the Lion Rock, Stanley Beach, etc. in Hundertwasser’s bold colours, spirals and irregular forms!
HK Dim Sum X Pablo Picasso
It’s a visual feast when this foodies’ paradise meets genius Spanish artist and co-founder of Cubism Pablo Picasso (1881-1973): Turn your palate into your palette by depicting your favourite dim sum, bowl of wonton noodles, Char Siu rice, Roasted Goose rice noodles, etc. as cubist masterpieces.
Workshops can be booked separately or a special package of 5 total workshops (inclusive of Certificate of Completion and Special 30th Anniversary T-shirt) can be purchased.
*Certificates of Completion will only be issued to students who have completed the 5 different workshops. Special 30th Anniversary T-shirts are only part of the package purchase.
