Student Showcase 2025 | Rewriting the Stars

In the 2025 KG Group student showcase, we are featuring three selected groups of students to perform and celebrate their achievements. The KG Group has selected this setting for the showcase of our most creatively bold and excellent students. The minimal set and intimate theatre setting are intentional — so their true talents shine through and our focus, are solely on them, our stars.

Devising Theatre (Face Productions) Students: The truly bold and creative take on collective creation. Our Devising Theatre students, under the expert guidance and teaching of renowned theatre professional Hilda Cheng, take on one of the most challenging form and method of theatre-making — collective creation in theatrical performance. A year’s worth of hard work has cumulated in their inaugural performance of《彩排立立亂》(Rehearsals Gone Wild). This will be performed in Cantonese.

Performing Circle (Kids’ Gallery) Students: A selected group of Performing Circle Students will be performing a short and moving scene from an adapted version of The Greatest Showman, with which they first performed for their Trinity College London Musical Theatre Grade 5 Exam in March. Their performance scored a truly remarkable score of 98/100, and moved the examiner to tears. This will be their first open performance of their outstanding achievement.

Face Voice (Face Productions) Students:  Face Voice students will be hitting all their right notes after having studied under their multi-award winning and professional vocalist and soprano Tammy Shum.
